Free For All (FFA) & Self-Replicating Ad Sites

After using a FFA Submission Server for 30 days, my advice regarding FFA sites is simple: Don't waste your time - FFA sites are nothing more than automated lead generators for the folks smart enough to own them.

The trick, my friends, was once to be the one collecting the leads and sending out thousands of daily solo ads, rather than the one receiving those ads.

I posted a minimum of 20,000 FFA links per day for 14 days, for a total of 2,800,000 ads. redirection URLs to track responses to each ad, and received exactly one.

I used a "throwaway" email address on a UNIX server which automatically deleted each email message received. Two weeks after halting the automated FFA submissions, the account was still receiving, and deleting, hundreds of email messages daily.

I think we have better things to do with our time.

Having said that, I realize that some folks just won't take my word for it, and feel that some advice is in order. If you are going to make submissions to FFA sites a part of your advertising regimen, make sure that you use an automated submission server. If you don't, the likelihood that anyone will actually see your FFA posts is zero. An automated FFA Submission Server can be a powerful tool in the right hands.

I feel duty-bound to point out that while there used to be an advantage to hosting an FFA site, I no longer believe it exists.

When someone posts their link to your FFA site, it will not only send them your promotional message, but that of every other FFA system in your network and others. There are so many FFA systems these days that the poor folks who post links on them could well end up receiving tens of thousands of "confirmation" messages. Oops.

It's my personal belief that the days when owning an FFA site could dramatically increase traffic and sales are over, thanks to the saturation created when every Tom, Dick and Harry got into the FFA Network business.

My rule now is simple: If I have to pay to use an FFA site, I quit. If I can generate enough commissions to cover costs, I use it.

If you'd like to learn how the Pros use the tools provided by these sites to maximize their online marketing efforts, my free report, "Maximize Your Online Marketing," will put it all together for you:

My Lean, Mean Promotion Machine provides an effective and efficient way to develop your marketing presence. It provides the focus you need, and creates a "money funnel" that will generate more cash than you could possibly earn without it. No FFA systems are now listed, simply because they aren't cost efficient.

  • 1Stop Classifieds isn't an FFA system, but I've included it here because it behaves like one. 1Stop Classifieds is from the same folks who offer the outstanding DailyTargetedLeads FFA Network, and they've brought their experience to bear on this new system. Click here for a recent review of the system!

  • 3000 Daily Leads offers 3000+ double opt-in leads a day for $20 a month. You will need the Group Mailer to process the leads.

  • 9000 Free Leads. The site promises 600-1000 leads per day, mailed to members, and 15 days free access. Members can terminate their accounts following their trial period, and it is clearly worth joining just for that reason. You will need the Group Mailer to process the leads.

I recommend that you try the system, since you can do so at no cost. If you find it useful, simply continue.

  • Adz4U offers a free self-replicating site as well as an associate package and an associate package which provides solid residual potential. This site has yet to prove itself, and I recommend giving it a pass for the time-being.

  • AltimateAdvertising FFA has been, in my opinion, a complete waste of time and money.

  • AltraSearch delivers 1200-1800 leads every day, when it's working properly. Too pricy for the service provided. The company's bedside manner sucks, and they rarely, if ever, respond to requests for information. Obsolete and overpriced.

  • AutoFFA offers both Free and Pro memberships. Pros receive 800 daily leads. You will need the Group Mailer to process them. AutoFFA offers a 15-day free trial and a deep compensation program. Cost: $19.95 a month via PayPal.

  • BruteForce FFA provides a downloadable list of from 800 - 1100 daily leads for $10 a month. You will need the Group Mailer to process them.

  • DailyTargetedLeads delivers 400-2500 leads to your PC daily. The DTL system is now fully automated. You can delay mailing your confirmation email messages for up to 5 days, then have the system mail it for you. The delay enhances the likelihood that your message will be read, rather than lost in the flurry of messages users receive the day that they post their link.

While some FFA sites simply take your money and do nothing, the folks at DTL continue to improve the system. This demonstrates an all too rare commitment to their clients, and that's one of the things I look for when I consider subscribing to a service. The residual income opportunity is very strong -- only three sales will pay the small monthly fee.

  • Email Promoter offers a self-replicating website in exchange for twenty bucks a month... underneath it all, it's an FFA site with a difference, in that it lets you delay the delivery of your confirmation message - this makes it more likely that your message will be read, since it won't be lost in the flood of initial email that always follows FFA posts.

  • EndlessLeads provides daily leads for a one-time fee of $29.95. I don't know the source of their leads, but the system comes well recommended, so I've decided to include it here, even though it isn't an FFA system per se.

  • FFA Cash is a verteran player in the FFA market, and offers the same features found in others. This system has proven itself reliable, and I think it's an overlooked bargain at $22 a year.

  • FFAMailBlaster offers optin leads and membership in a massive safelist for $19.95 a month.

  • FFA Net is the granddaddy of the FFA networks. You will need the Group Mailer to process your leads.

Although FFA NET doesn't provide as many leads as other sites, it validates every single one of them, and that means that you are guaranteed that your messages will reach real people, not autoresponders or "trash" addresses. Unfortunately, my performance stats suggest that FFA Net cannot be justified financially. For my comments, see my newsletter of March 15, 2002.

  • Kiosk is an awesome, totally unique, marketing machine which offers more marketing clout than any other FFA site on the planet.
    • Fully automated Pro FFA with built-in delays of up to 20 days
    • Free access to a 6000+ member safelist
    • Unlimited, branded, multiresponders
    • Unlimited autoresponders
    • Mailing list software
    • 300 megs of webspace and SSH access to the UNIX shell
    • The best support in the business, period.
    • Turnkey Safelist Franchises - they do the work, you keep the money
    • Absolutely AWESOME 7-Tier compensation plan - the best in the industry, period.

I have gotten to know CEO Joel Therien pretty well. Joel sends his phone number to his subscribers, and actually answers when you call. Joel told me that the company had been in business for 3 years, and currently had about 3500 subscribers. That means WWKiosk isn't one of those rookie efforts that pops up, makes a lot of noise, then quietly disappears a few months later. WWKiosk is solid, and I'm looking forward to a long and successful relationship.

As a part of the WWKiosk Support Team, I'm proud to be associated with Joel and his company!

Folks, if you're looking for a web host, and you've been holding back because of the cost, and if you haven't been sure about subscribing to a professional FFA site, now's your chance to get both for the price of the FFA site alone. This is a VERY good deal!

  • MaxResponsePro FFA delivers about 1000 leads a day, using a web-based mailer, and costs $12.95 a year. The system is slow and unreliable at times, and one needs to exercise a lot of patience.

  • MDFFA offers a Pro FFA page for a one-time fee of only $17 - a terrific deal, if it weren't for the fact that they tack on their own advertising to your messages. Skip this one, folks - you shouldn't have to advertise for them, and you certainly shouldn't have to pay for the privilege!

  • MonsterTraffic offers fully automated delivery of your solo ads (1 to 5-day delay optional), and a $5 a month commission on Pro memberships. The cost is a reasonable $10 a month, for 80-100 daily leads. On top of their fully automated FFA service, Monster Traffic also provides a site rotator and a home page rotator, making it a powerful traffic generator. All in all, it's a great system at a great price, and their Customer Service is first rate.

  • MultiLinks offers basic FFA autoresponder service for $9.95/month, and generates between 300 and 800 targeted leads daily. A feature worth noting here is that Multilinks offers several options with respect to your outbound email, including fully automated delivery of your promotional email.

Those of you using the Group Mailer can download the email addresses and send them out whenever you wish.

  • MyEbizPage delivers 4-500 leads daily, and has teamed up with ValidatedEmail.com to ensure that the e-mail addresses now submitted to the system are real. This means that you should get better, cleaner leads.

They recently added two new options for Premium Members... The first one is the ability to select a new page layout/template. They have five different professional layouts available and are working on adding more in the near future. The second feature is the ability to have your Featured Link open as a pop under. Studies show that the response to pop unders is usually very high so we thought adding this feature would be a good match for the system.

You will need the Group Mailer to process your leads. Unfortunately, my performance stats suggest that MyeBizPage cannot be justified financially. For my comments, see my newsletter of March 15, 2002.

  • My Money Machine combines the powerful draw of an FFA site with an opportunity to make a few bucks without investing in the commercial levels. Not recommended.

It always amazes me when I run across one of these "get rich quick" FFA sites... You know the kind I'm talking about.. the ones that assume you're a blithering idiot, ready to plop down your VISA number at the first sign of an outrageous promise.

  • OneClick FFA is such a site. A quick glance at the site tells the tale:
10,000+ new leads every day! That is reaching 300,000 new leads every month!

The claim is absolute nonsense, and there isn't an FFA site on the planet generating anywhere near 10,000 leads a day. Not one.

Just ask me <grin> - I have belonged to a lot of them.

When I read their claim, which originally said that the site produced "4000 to 5000 qualified and targeted leads every day," I wrote to Sales@oneclickffa.com and asked them how their leads were "targeted," and pointed out that it was impossible for one to know what sort of prospect one was likely to get from FFA sites. I also asked them where they were getting their leads, and pointed out that no other site on the net made such a claim, or delivered anywhere near that amount. The "targeted" claim no longer appears on the site.

Not content to promise a paltry "4000 to 5000 new leads every day," they used this whopper in their FAQ:

Q: How many people will my ad reach every day?
A: Your ad will go out to every person who has posted to our FFA network each day, along with your auto-responder going out to them also. You will be given the number of people the ad went to after sending the ad for the day. Current totals between the mailer and auto-responder totals are almost 10,000 ad views EVERY DAY.

Right.... and the Tooth Fairy arrives promptly at 2:00 A.M.

Finally, they offer one of the lamest testimonials I've ever seen, and I just gotta share it with you:

Being able to log in and instantly blast my ad to this many people is amazingly simple. Thank you for your service!
    Duane B. - Pro member

Does "Duane B. - Pro member" tell us that he gets great clickthru rates? Nope.
Does "Duane B. - Pro member" tell us that his sales have tripled? Nope.

What DOES "Duane B. - Pro member" say? Nothing.... and that's the most telling "testimonial" about OneClick FFA you're ever going to see.

Avoid this one like the plague.

  • SmallBizFFA offers you the power of an FFA site, but the upline will flood your mailbox with seemingly endless SPAM aimed at getting you to upgrade to the commercial version. Not recommended.

  • Successmakers FFA. This is a new and very professional automated FFA system. It provides 500 validated double-opt-in leads daily. The leads can be downloaded, or you can use a web-based mailer, which will send your message to all the leads for the past 7 days (that you haven't mailed to previously). This is a good featurewhich assures that you won't lose your leads if you aren't able to access the site for a few days. They also offer a fully automated system which will do the job for you, with delays of up to 10 days. All you have to do is decide which method works best for you.

The owners plan to add multiresponders, professional website templates, and hosting services, using a model much like Kiosk's.

  • TrafficWave is a highly recommended site that provides from 300-500 leads per day. TrafficWave not only provides full FFA capability, but a fully programmable, 20-message Autoresponder as well. Feature for feature, this one's very had to beat. TrafficWave offers a 30-Day FREE Trial, which gives you full access to the system for a month. This is a TERRIFIC offer for anyone who wants to explore FFA marketing without paying for it. TrafficWave is a fully automated system which will delay your mailing for up to 10 days, then deliver it automatically. Outstanding!

Like FFA Net, TrafficWave validates its leads, so you won't get as many as other sites provide, but the ones you do get lead to real people, not autoresponders. UNLIKE FFA Net, TrafficWave offers an outstanding Affiliate program - one which will build a serious income stream for anyone who promotes it well. You can read about it here.

  • Network Advertising Hybrids

  • The Mass Marketing Program delivers 37,500 monthly visitors to your site and gets you 75,000 targeted banner ads that claims to produce results. I haven't tried this system, and have no recommendation.
