Metagenics CEO: Peanut Butter Scare Highlights The Need For Extra Caution In Food Safety
Jeff Katke, the CEO of Metagenics, Inc., a maker of nutraceuticals, medical foods, and the popular ProteinFusion™ Peanut Butter Crunch Bars said today that “adequate testing for contamination may be more expensive but it’s worth it to protect consumers.” Katke said that his company has not been asked by the Food and Drug Administration to consider holding or recalling any of its products as part of the ongoing Salmonella investigation.
